Just a few months ago, a six-year-old boy made the international headlines after saving his sister from a dog attack in a brave attempt ensuring her safety.
The boy identified as Bridger Walker who has sustained a few injuries due to his display of bravery has been recognised by the World Boxing Council (WBC) as a world heavyweight champion for a day.
Speaking on his actions, Walker said;
“If someone was going to die, it must be me, I’m the older brother.”
The boy who did not mind losing his life was recognized by many including the ‘Captain America’ actor Chris Evans as a hero who even promised to send him a captain America shield as well.
“Pal, you’re a hero, what you did was so brave, so selfless – your sister is so lucky to have you as a big brother. Your parents must be so proud of you.”
“Keep being the man you are, we need people like you,”
“Hang in there, I know recovery might be tough, but based on what I’ve seen, I don’t think there’s much that can slow you down.”
Taking to her LinkedIn page, Ebony James acknowledged the WBC title awarded him and wrote;
“It will remain in the official historical record of the WBC. For that one day, he was the best fighter in the world.”
