American actress and singer Linda Balgord is best known for her roles as Norma Desmond in the 1996 US tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Sunset Boulevard, Grizabella in the original Broadway run of Cats, and Queen Elizabeth I in The Pirate Queen.

Balgord performed in the Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, Fireside Theatre from 1982 to 1984, the year between her undergraduate degree and the start of her doctoral studies.
After moving to New York in 1990, she was cast in the main part of Aspects of Love, a two-year national tour, after just five months. Passion was her Broadway debut. On March 5, 2024, Linda Balgord, 64, passed away in Naples, Florida.
