The decision was communicated to an Accra High Court on July 31, 2024, the same day the case was scheduled for a hearing.
The judge, Justice Forson Agyapong Baah, had previously instructed that LilWin be informed about the hearing and related court documents since he had missed the earlier session and had no legal representation.
Martha Ankomah’s lawsuit arose from disparaging comments LilWin made about her in a viral video. Ankomah claims these remarks tarnished her reputation and negatively affected the textile brand GTP.

She is seeking ₵5 million in damages, which includes compensatory and aggravated damages, along with an apology, a retraction of the statements, and an injunction to prevent further defamatory remarks.
The conflict started after Ankomah expressed interest in working with Kumawood actors during an interview on Accra FM, praising their storylines.
LilWin responded with a video filled with insults, leading to Ankomah’s legal action.
Despite the seriousness of the situation, LilWin shared a video online featuring National Democratic Congress Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, who commented that “any idiot can go to court,” suggesting LilWin’s nonchalance towards the lawsuit.
