Lilwin had used derogatory language questioning Ankomah’s status in the film industry, which led her to file a defamation lawsuit against him.
In a recent court session held on July 31, Lilwin’s lawyer informed the court that he had sought an out-of-court settlement with Ankomah.
During the session, Ankomah’s lawyer, Nii Apatu Plange, mentioned that some developments had occurred, prompting the judge, Justice Forson Agyapong Baah, to acknowledge the progress and adjourn the case.

He expressed his regret, acknowledging her both as a colleague and a friend, and requested others to join him in apologizing to her.
The case is now scheduled to reconvene on August 15, 2024, to finalize the settlement agreement and have it officially recognized by the court.
