Lilian Kumah clarifies husband’s passing was due to a terminal illness, not food poisoning

The widow of the late Deputy Finance Minister and NPP member, John Kumah, has spoken out against rumors claiming he died from food poisoning.

Instead, she revealed he battled a severe illness for over a year. Apostle Lilian Kumah, speaking to Asaase News, disclosed that her husband had been fighting a terminal disease diagnosed by doctors in Germany.

Expressing grief, Apostle Mrs. Lilian Kumah urged an end to speculations, highlighting the pain it inflicts on her family. She called for police action against individuals like Captain Smart, who alleged poisoning without evidence.

Questioning why such claims persist, she demanded accountability for those spreading falsehoods. She stressed the need for legal repercussions to deter such behavior.

Apostle Lilian Kumah emphasized that her husband’s death resulted from a blood-related disease diagnosed in Germany in August 2023. Throughout medical check-ups in Germany and Ghana, poisoning was never mentioned by any doctor.
