In a race marked by unpredictable weather, Hamilton navigated the wet-dry track expertly to claim his 104th career win and a record-breaking ninth victory at his home circuit.

This triumph, his first since December 2021, solidified his status as a dominant force in Formula 1.

Hamilton faced intense competition throughout the race, particularly from Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, who mounted a fierce challenge in the closing laps.

Despite Verstappen’s late surge, Hamilton maintained composure to cross the finish line first.

Expressing his emotions over the team radio, Hamilton conveyed the significance of the win: “This means so much to me.” His engineer, Peter Bonnington, responded with admiration, to which Hamilton affectionately replied, “I love you, Bono.”

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff described the victory as a “fairytale” moment for both the team and Hamilton, highlighting the emotional resonance of the occasion.

Behind the leading trio, McLaren’s Lando Norris secured a hard-fought third place on the podium, while Norris’ teammate, Oscar Piastri, claimed an impressive fourth position after being in contention for victory earlier in the race. Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz completed the top five finishers.
