Reno Omokri has rendered an apology to his fans for sharing with them videos of people who died during the Lekki Toll Gate shootings.

He said he only shared it because he needed assistance in identifying the people who had to die through a peaceful protest and their families do not know where they are.

He said:

“I have had to delete the video of the Corpse Of A Peaceful, Unarmed #EndSARS Protester Killed By The Nigerian Army During #LekkiMassacre that I previously posted. My followers complained that it was too gruesome and shocking. I apologise. I only shared it so we could identify his family and release the corpse to them! Imagine how they are feeling now. Put yourself in their shoes. We have the corpse. We have the billets retrieved from his body. We do not know his name. But, I am duty bound to take your considerations into account.”
