Reports suggest that Graham Potter is in line to take over the reins. Potter, who has been without a job since getting sacked by Chelsea in 2023, is being pursued to replace Maresca after his short stint with the Foxes.

The club’s director, Jon Rudkin, is eager to secure Potter’s services and has already been in talks with his agent, John Morris. However, there are concerns about whether Leicester can afford Potter’s services this summer.

Potter, aged 49, has been linked with various top roles, including Manchester United, where he could reunite with Dan Ashworth, his former colleague at Brighton.

Despite turning down an offer from Ajax, Leicester’s return to the Premier League under Maresca’s leadership presents an appealing opportunity for Potter.

In their search for a new manager, Leicester has also held discussions with former Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper.

Meanwhile, the club has bid farewell to three senior players: Marc Albrighton, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Dennis Praet.

However, they have secured the services of club legend Jamie Vardy for another year with a new contract.
