Spanish winger Lamine Yamal made history on Saturday, June 15, 2024, by becoming the youngest player ever to appear at a European Championship.

The prodigious 16-year-old talent achieved this milestone by starting for Spain in their tournament-opening game against Croatia.
Adding to his record-breaking performance, Lamine Yamal also became the youngest player to set up a goal in the tournament’s history.

Lamine Yamal’s precise cross enabled Dani Carvajal to score Spain’s third goal just before the break which was also Carvajal’s first ever goal for the Spanish national football team.
This remarkable achievement surpasses the previous record held by Enzo Scifo, who was 18 when he assisted a goal for Belgium against Yugoslavia in 1984.
Lamine Yamal is gradually establishing himself as one of the highly rated youngster in world football and many people are projecting that he will become great in the near future.
