Labadi Beachfront Acquisition: Ablakwa Challenges Blay Family to Court Battle

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, has defiantly responded to threats of legal action from the Blay family over his allegations regarding their involvement in the attempted acquisition of land from the Labadi Beach Hotel, a state-owned property in Accra.

In an interview with Citi FM on Wednesday, June 26, Ablakwa reaffirmed his readiness to confront the Blay family in court, dismissing attempts to intimidate him into silence.

Despite acknowledging the daunting challenges ahead in his pursuit of transparency and accountability, Ablakwa remained steadfast in his resolve to seek justice.

As of now, Ablakwa clarified that he had not received any formal legal notice from the Blay family but expressed his unwavering commitment to hold accountable those implicated in what he termed as unlawful land dealings.

The allegations surrounding the Blay family’s purported actions have sparked controversy, particularly regarding the ownership and management of state-owned assets like the Labadi Beach Hotel.

“The Blay family continues to issue threats, but I am ready. I do not shy away from legal challenges,” Ablakwa stated. “I am prepared to respond to any writ they may issue. However, as of now, I have not been served.”
