Kyle Clifford, who left the British Army in 2022 after a brief period of service, was sought in connection with the deaths of Carol Hunt, 61, and her two daughters, Hannah, 28, and Louise, 25.
The three women were found with severe injuries and later declared dead at the scene after police were called to their home in Bushey on Tuesday evening.
During the manhunt, authorities warned the public that Clifford might have been armed with a crossbow and advised against approaching him.
Home Secretary Yvette Cooper stated that she was being kept fully informed about the “truly shocking” deaths.
