In a Facebook post on July 20, 2024, KOD, who previously supported the New Patriotic Party (NPP), explained that his decision to back the NDC was met with disapproval from some friends and acquaintances.
He cited unfulfilled promises by the government as his reason for the change.

KOD expressed frustration that his political stance has led to some people distancing themselves from him, despite his respect for their own political choices. He emphasized his right to make his own decisions and opinions, regardless of others’ views.
“Some people will get distant as ‘FRIENDS’ because you have chosen a side to support politically. Meanwhile, you stayed their friends when they made their political choice,” KOD wrote.
He further stated, “At my age, you want to determine my views and beliefs? Even my family members have different political views, so really… Note: they were NEVER your friends in the first place. Tell them to F! Off.”
