On July 25, 2012, North Korean state media made a momentous revelation, declaring that Kim Jong-un was married to Ri Sol-ju. Ri has been traveling with Kim to numerous public events for a few weeks before the announcement.

An analyst from South Korea claims that Kim Jong-il, Kim Jong-father, un’s hurriedly set up the union after having a stroke in 2008. After being married in 2009, the pair welcomed their son as their first child in 2010.

After visiting North Korea in 2013, former NBA player Dennis Rodman said that the couple had a second child, a daughter they named Ju-ae. Later, according to South Korean intelligence sources, the couple gave birth to a third kid in February 2017 who was also a daughter.

Due to her marriage to the Supreme Leader, Kim Jong-un, Ri Sol-ju is currently the First Lady of North Korea. Although the North Korean government hasn’t disclosed anything about her, outside sources have been more forthcoming with their theories.

She and her spouse have frequently been spotted together in public, but there have also been times when she has vanished.
Ri’s position was changed by state media in April 2018 from “Comrade” to “Respected First Lady,” which was viewed as a significant accolade and the first time the title has been used since 1974. She also began to play a more diplomatic role at about the same period.
For Ri’s past, not a lot of specific information is known. Even some analysts have asserted that the name she uses is a fictitious name. Her birth year has been said to be between 1985 and 1989.
Her mother is the head of a gynecology ward and her father is a professor; her family is thought to be among North Korea’s political elite. Prior to studying vocal music in China, Ri is claimed to have attended Geumsung 2 Middle School in Pyongyang.
She is believed to be connected to Ri Pyong-chol, a key advisor to Kim Jong-un and a former general of the Korean People’s Army Air and Anti-Air Force.
