Rose, who was arrested on April 13, 2011, in Bay Minette on a disorderly conduct charge, said she became hysterical after learning of allegations that she had injected drugs in a Baldwin County Courthouse bathroom.

She denied the allegation and showed arms with no visible needle marks or bruises. An abrasion visible near her left elbow, she said, occurred in jail.

It was after her release on April 14 on $100 bail that she learned of the needle accusations, she said.

She described the April 13 incident as the worst public experience of her life.

She also pulled up the long sleeves of her green dress and allowed her arms, lacking obvious bruises or needle tracks, to be photographed.

Rose, a former Ono Island resident, now lives in New Orleans.
