Popular Nigerian journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, has disclosed why Nigerian singer, Davido does not get any nominations from the Grammys.

According to her, Davido doesn’t earn enough money for the albums he releases because he makes them free for his fans to download which reduces the sales of the money he can earn.
Kemi also mentioned that if Davido wants to get a Grammy nomination, he must begin selling his music instead of making it free to download. She added that Grammy is sales-based and not free downloads.

Kemi Olunloyo wrote;
“Davido fans don’t know 80% of the global music business. I’m an expert in the music business as a music blogger, music journalist, music publicist and music awards judge for at least 20 years. If you want to win Grammys, you must SELL Music!! Grammys are sales based. Not FREE DOWNLOAD”.
This comment comes after Davido was not nominated for this year’s Grammy award but his rivals Burna Boy and Wizkid got nominated.
