The news was confirmed by LaTisha Moore Scott, Jabbar’s cousin and fellow cast member on the OWN network show, in a heartfelt social media post in July 2024.

“At this time we are asking for RESPECT, and PRIVACY in our moment of grief, while we process this great loss!” Scott shared on Instagram. “This is hard for our Family!!!!!”

The announcement of Jabbar’s death was initially reported by YouTube vlogger Marcella Speaks, who relayed a statement from Jabbar’s family revealing that she passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.

“She was a mom, a sister, a great friend, full of life, love, and laughter. She will sorely be missed,” Speaks read.

Jabbar gained attention on Love & Marriage: Huntsville for her vibrant personality and involvement in the ongoing dynamics among the cast, notably with her cousin, Scott. Their turbulent relationship, often captured on camera, was a focal point of the show, including intense confrontations.

In a recent season, tensions between Jabbar and Scott climaxed with a memorable scene where Jabbar threw a drink at Scott during a heated exchange.

Earlier this year, Jabbar faced public scrutiny after accusations involving drug use and passing a drug test with someone else’s urine. On the show’s reunion, she vehemently denied allegations of using hard drugs, asserting her sobriety throughout filming.

Love & Marriage: Huntsville, produced by King’s Kingdom Reign Entertainment and ITV America, follows the lives of three African-American couples in Huntsville, Alabama, navigating personal and professional challenges while revitalizing the city through real estate ventures.
