Katt Williams Biography

Born as Micah Sierra Williams, Katt was born on September 2, 1971, in Cincinnati, Ohio and was raised there as well. At the age of 3, Katt moved to Florida and supported himself as a door-to-door salesman. He began his career by performing in several clubs from Oklahoma to California. In 2006, he began his first comedy special;  Katt Williams: Live: Let a Playa Play which became a huge success.

Katt has also featured in several music videos and albums for artists such as Snoop Dogg, Lil Kim, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, E40 among others. For Katt’s acting career, his debut was in a minor role in the TV drama series “NYPD Blue” in 2002. In the same year, he portrayed Money Mike in the comedy film “Friday After Next”, which is one of his most prominent roles to date. From 2003 to 2004 he portrayed Freddie in the comedy series “The Tracy Morgan Show”, and in 2007 he was Lord Have Mercy in the comedy film “Norbit”.

Williams has had quite a number of legal issues.  His first arrest was in November 2006, for carrying a stolen gun and was sentenced to three years probation, spending three days in jail. Katt has been arrested for several other reasons, his last arrest was in October 2018 in Portland, Oregon on a charge of assault in the fourth degree, after he assaulted a town car driver during an argument about his dog. Williams was additionally arrested on an outstanding warrant from Georgia.
