Henshaw’s initial remarks came to light in a December 2023 interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, where she expressed that she was not a fan of Davido, despite liking his music. She recounted an instance where she met the singer, but he did not acknowledge her presence.
In the throwback interview, Kate Henshaw stated, “Well, I’m not a fan. I like his music, but personally, I don’t know him. I’ve met him; he didn’t greet me. I’m sorry. No, I’m not sorry. I’m old enough. He didn’t greet, and for me, I believe he should be respectful. For me, personality matters.”

Recently, during an appearance on Isbae U’s show, “Curiosity Made Me Ask,” Henshaw’s encounter with Davido was revisited. When asked why she mentioned in an interview that Davido didn’t greet her, the actress seemed appalled by the question and clarified her position.

“I was asked a question, and I answered it. I didn’t report anybody; I responded to the question. What is ‘report?’ What does report mean?” Henshaw said. “They asked about the person, and I was speaking about the knowledge and interaction that I had. I didn’t report, and we even had a conversation after that, so it’s really none of your business. That’s what you people do; you look for strife.”
To lighten the mood, Isbae U brought in a Davido lookalike who knelt before Kate Henshaw to apologize for the singer’s actions. The playful gesture was met with laughter, providing a humorous end to the segment.
The full interview, which showcases Henshaw’s clarification and the amusing apology skit, has been shared widely on social media, generating mixed reactions from fans and followers.
