Dr. Doguwa emphasized that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s dedication to assisting students facing financial challenges and ensuring they do not miss out on crucial educational opportunities motivated the decision.

According to Daily Trust, the financial assistance breakdown indicates that the government will cover ₦24,250 per student for NECO and ₦21,000 per student for NBAIS.

Dr. Doguwa pointed out that while there was a suggestion to subsidize fees only for students with eight credits, Governor Yusuf chose to extend this assistance to any student with four credits in any subject.
