Kano Fire Service Saves ₦100m Property and Rescues 15 Individuals from 60 Incidents in April

In April, the Kano State Fire Service revealed its heroic efforts in rescuing 15 people and safeguarding property valued at ₦100 million from 60 fire outbreaks.

According to Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, the Service’s Public Relations Officer, while speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria in Kano, two individuals sadly lost their lives in the incidents, and property worth ₦43.6 million was consumed by the flames.

Abdullahi emphasized the importance of caution when dealing with fire, advising the public to ensure all open flames are extinguished before leaving premises, particularly for those engaged in nighttime cooking and food vending.

He disclosed that the service swiftly responded to 13 distress calls and attended to seven false alarms across the state.

Additionally, he called upon motorists to exercise prudence on the roads and adhere strictly to traffic regulations to prevent accidents.

The proactive measures advocated by Abdullahi underscore the critical role of both individual responsibility and collective action in averting fire disasters and promoting public safety.
