Recent reports circulating in the media have sparked speculation regarding the reasons behind the divorce between Brazilian football legend Ricardo Kaka and his ex-wife Caroline Celico. However, Celico has stepped forward to debunk these claims, dismissing rumors that suggested she ended her marriage with the football star because he was “too perfect” for her.

Kaka and Celico’s union, which began in December 2005, brought forth two children: Luca Celico Leite, born on June 10, 2008, and Isabella Celico Leite, born on April 23, 2011. After a decade of marriage, the couple went their separate ways, although they did not publicly disclose the specific reasons for their divorce at the time.
Recently, a fabricated quote attributed to Celico began circulating online, purportedly shedding light on the alleged reasons behind their divorce. The quote suggested that Celico felt Kaka was “too perfect” for her, leading to speculation and criticism from fans.

However, Celico took to her Instagram story to refute these claims, labeling the viral statement as “false” and “fake.” In her statement, she clarified that while she and Kaka had indeed parted ways almost 10 years ago after a 14-year relationship, the reasons for their divorce were not accurately represented in the circulating quote.

She expressed gratitude for her past experiences and emphasized the healthy co-parenting relationship she shares with Kaka, highlighting their commitment to raising their children together.
In her post, Celico extended a warm welcome to her social media followers, inviting them to engage with her content, which encompasses topics ranging from family and work to spirituality, with respect and love.
She wrote:
“For those who haven’t heard from me for a long time… or have never heard before. And are UNFORTUNATELY hearing some fake news and FAKE quotes. Let me update you:
“I got divorced almost 10 years ago, from those 14 years of relationship there are 2 lovely teenagers.
“It’s been almost 8 years. I am with my husband Eduardo, and we are having our first child next month.
“I have a lot of respect for my lifetime story, and I am very grateful for everything I have lived so far. My ex-husband and I found a healthy way to raise our children, and I’m so grateful for this.
“Please be welcome to my social media, which is a place I share about many subjects, such as family, work and spirituality, with a lot of respect and love.
“Thank you.”
