Timberlake, who is currently touring in Europe, appeared via video link from Antwerp, Belgium, for a court hearing in Sag Harbor.
During this virtual appearance, he pleaded not guilty to the charge of driving while intoxicated, which is related to his June 18 arrest.
Judge Carl Irace informed Timberlake that his driving privileges in New York would be suspended due to his refusal to take a breath test at the police station.

However, the judge did not specify the duration of this suspension. Timberlake, dressed in a black shirt, appeared solemn and only spoke briefly during the hearing.

The case has seen some controversy, with Timberlake’s attorney, Edward Burke Jr., seeking to dismiss it on the grounds of errors in the initial arrest documents.
Judge Irace criticized Burke’s remarks made outside the courthouse, accusing him of trying to influence the case negatively. The judge also warned Burke about the possibility of a gag order if he continued to make public comments about the case.
Another hearing is set for August 9, but Timberlake will not be required to attend. Future court appearances for Timberlake may require his presence in person, depending on how the case progresses.
