Despite his achievements under Pep Guardiola, Julian Alvarez felt it was time to seek new challenges in a new environment, leading him to join Atletico Madrid.

Alvarez explained during his official unveiling at Atletico Madrid: “I felt that I needed a change in my career. I needed to look for a new challenge, and I believe that this club gives me the tools to give my best”

In addition to this, Julian Alvarez was grateful to Manchester City: “I learned a lot there at City and I’m grateful for the two years I’ve been there.”
