The document, shared on Saturday, April 13, 2024, included names such as Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, John Jinapor, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, and Felix Kwakye Ofosu, among others.

However, the publication sparked denials from the individuals named, with Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa hinting at potential legal action.

In response, Hughes offered an apology, clarifying that his post was not intended to be malicious and that he did not intend to implicate anyone.

He explained, “Perhaps, I should have added a few more words to the caption ‘Odaseni,’ or maybe posed the question I had in my mind when I decided to make a post.”

Acknowledging the various interpretations of his post, Hughes expressed regret to those who felt offended and emphasized that he takes full responsibility for his actions as a journalist.

He also shared the rejoinders of Ablakwa, Jinapor, and Mogtari on the same post while awaiting an official response from GNPC.

Despite being unable to disclose his source, Hughes reiterated his commitment to accountability and thanked his audience.
