Jill’s husband, Jon Berti is a professional baseball player who currently plays as a utility player for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Berti attended Bowling Green State University, where he played college baseball for the Bowling Green Falcons. He was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 18th round of the 2011 MLB draft.

Berti made his MLB debut with the Blue Jays on April 22, 2018, and played in 23 games for the team that season. He was then claimed off waivers by the Marlins in November 2018 and has been a member of the team ever since.
Throughout his career, Berti has played multiple positions, including second base, shortstop, third base, and outfield, and even pitched in one game in 2020. He is known for his speed and has stolen 50 bases in his MLB career as of the end of the 2021 season.
