Jennifer Lopez has officially filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, marking the end of their two-year marriage.

According to records from the Los Angeles Superior Court, Lopez submitted the dissolution papers on Tuesday, August 20 2024 the same date as their wedding anniversary.
The couple had celebrated their marriage in Riceboro, Georgia, in 2022, following a private elopement in Las Vegas a month earlier.
The split follows rumors of tension, including reports that Lopez and Affleck had been living separately.
Lopez had also canceled her summer tour to focus on family, and the couple recently put their Beverly Hills home on the market.

This divorce concludes a long and public relationship between the two stars, who first met over 20 years ago on the set of the film “Gigli.”
Their romance initially blossomed in 2002, leading to an engagement, but they called off their wedding in 2003 due to intense media attention and eventually separated in 2004.
Lopez and Affleck rekindled their relationship in 2021, much to the delight of fans, and were married the following year. However, their rekindled romance ultimately faced challenges that led to their separation.
Lopez has two children with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck shares three children with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. The couple has not yet commented publicly on the divorce.
