Best known for the role as young Violet Bick in the 1946 film classic It’s a Wonderful Life, one-time child actress, and psychologist, Jeanine Ann Roose has passed away.

Sources report that the former actress, 84, battled an abdominal infection that sadly claimed her life.

Jeanine worked as a child actor in the 1940s and ’50s. Her role in It’s a Wonderful Life was her sole film credit. She landed her first acting job at 8 on The Jack Benny Program. She also appeared on The Fitch Bandwagon and The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show from 1946 to 1954 as a character based on the real-life daughter of Harris and Faye.
Jeanine went on to play roles in a few films and radio shows until she quit acting for psychology.
Jeanine’s death occurred on New Year’s Even Friday night at her home in Los Angeles.
