The 26-year-old forward played a pivotal role in leading the Celtics to their 18th NBA championship, defeating the Dallas Mavericks in a five-game series.

Tatum averaged impressive stats of 22.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game during the Finals, solidifying his status as a key figure in Boston’s historic victory over their long-time rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers, for the most championships in league history.

Drafted third overall by the Celtics in 2017, Tatum has evolved into one of the NBA’s premier talents, excelling as a versatile two-way player on the wing.

Alongside Jaylen Brown, whom Boston signed to a record extension last year, Tatum forms one of the league’s most formidable wing duos.

Earlier on Monday, the Celtics also secured an extension with guard Derrick White, ensuring their entire starting lineup remains under contract through at least the 2025-26 season.

Tatum boasts an impressive resume, earning five All-Star selections and four All-NBA honors, including three consecutive first-team nods.

His international achievements include capturing a gold medal with Team USA at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, with plans to compete in the upcoming Paris Olympics as the men’s national team seeks its fifth consecutive gold medal.
