Queen Elizabeth II appeared in her famous on-screen cameo with James Bond in the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The monarch’s cameo was met with rapturous applause in the Olympic stadium on the evening of the opening ceremony.

The film depicts Craig’s James Bond arriving at Buckingham Palace to collect the Queen and fly her to the Olympic Stadium via helicopter.

The “queen” is then shown leaping from the helicopter, aided by a Union Jack parachute, before making her official entrance into the Olympic stadium.

Queen Elizabeth II made it known that she would prefer to greet Daniel Craig as “Mr Bond” in their performance in the short film ‘Happy and Glorious’ for the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony. Here at the premiere of ‘Casino Royale’ in London, November 14, 2006.

The Queen also suggested that when Bond entered the room, she should be writing something at her desk, and she kept her appearance hidden from her family and viewers.

According to Frank, the Queen also desired to select the type of vehicle from which she would “jump out.” “We took the storyboards in to show her, and she had comments about what kind of helicopter should be used,” he explained.
