The Huskies emerged victorious, clinching the President’s Cup by defeating the Halifax Mooseheads. Lauko’s performance in the postseason was equally impressive, with 13 points in 19 games. The team went on to capture the coveted Memorial Cup, with Lauko leading the tournament in scoring, tallying eight points in five games.

In the 2019–20 season, Jakub Lauko transitioned to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL). Despite facing challenges during the season, including a notable incident where he was stretchered off the ice, Lauko displayed resilience and determination. He finished the season with nine points in 22 games, proving his mettle at the professional level.

The 2022–23 season marked a significant milestone in Jakub Lauko’s career as he earned a spot on the NHL roster. He made his NHL debut on October 12, 2022, facing the Washington Capitals. Lauko’s dedication and hard work paid off as he contributed to his team, registering his first NHL point on an assist to a goal by Nick Foligno, whom he affectionately calls “Uncle Nick” due to their strong bond.

On October 15, 2022, it seemed that Jakub Lauko had scored his first NHL goal against the Arizona Coyotes, but the goal was later called back for goalie interference. However, he didn’t have to wait long to secure his first NHL goal that counted, achieving the milestone on November 1, 2022, against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Throughout the season, Jakub Lauko showcased his skills by seamlessly transitioning between the NHL club and the Providence Bruins. In his first NHL season, he played 23 games, accumulating four goals and three assists.
