Jacksepticeye whose real name is Seán William McLoughlin was born on 7 February 1990 in Cloghan, County Offaly as the youngest of five children to John and Florrie McLoughlin. Unfortunately, his father passed away on January 27, 2021.

Jacksepticeye got his nickname following an accident during a football match in which he was hit in the face with a football while wearing glasses. This caused his eye to become infected.
Jacksepticeye moved with his parents to a log cabin in Ballycumber, County Offaly when he was just a teenager. He later relocated to an apartment in Athlone, County Westmeath, Ireland. Jacksepticeye has two brothers and two sisters including Allison, Susan, Malcolm, and Simon.
