The death of Sechin, who has been employed by Rosneft since March 2014, was not publicized until Russian magnate Leonid Nevzlin, who is in exile and a strong opponent of Russian President Vladimir Putin, brought attention to a record in the national register of inheritance cases.
Born in 1989, the entry in the registry is linked to Ivan Igorevich Sechin, who resided in a building that was formerly referred to as “a house for President Putin’s associates,” according to reports from independent Russian news sites.

Ivan Sechin: Son of Putin’s Right hand Man Igor Sechin dies aged 35
Ivan died on 5 February 2024 under “bizarre circumstances”. He was at his home mansion in the Moscow region and woke in the middle of the night complaining to his wife of kidney pain.
His security service immediately called an ambulance, but they made a “mistake” and didn’t provide the correct address of the mansion.
