South African rapper, Cassper Nyovest, has disclosed in a recent interview, his personal experience with getting infected with Coronavirus.

Sharing his story with Kojo Ebro on his Ebro show, Cassper said he contracted the virus whiles training and preparing for a boxing fight, though they were social distancing and following all the safety rules they were told to observe. But he somehow still contracted the virus.

He said, he only felt some slight headache, but thought it was normal till the person who tested positive called to alert him and he decided to go get checked, and he tested positive.

“I started training to prepare for this boxing match. The training was so hectic and just at the peak of my fitness, I contracted Covid19….everybody was social distancing and doing everything that we were told to do. Somehow I caught it”, he said.

“If I wasn’t called by the person who tested positive then I wouldn’t have known. I just had a little headache and I thought it was from something else so I went and got tested and I found out I was positive,” he added.

He also shared that, whiles in quarantine, he only had mild symptoms but it got worse on the seventh day. He said he didn’t have all the symptoms, but it was worse than just flu. But said a couple of days after, he got better and was back ‘running in the streets’.

The rapper also talked about how it affected his work and his finances.
