“It Broke Me Down Emotionally But God Got Me” – Nigerian Idol Contestant Speaks After His Encounter With Seyi Shay

Ayo Torrus, the contestant who was ridiculed by Seyi Shay, has finally spoken after news of his encounter with the singer surfaced on the internet.

Seyi Shay who was one of the judges on the panel for the auditions criticised the young guy for his terrible performance during his audition. She stated that his song may be right but he does not have the voice to sing.

Netizens who watched this video believed that Seyi Shay was too harsh on the young boy and could have made her judgement in a more friendly tone in order not to make the boy feel bad.

Reacting to this, the young boy stated that Sey Shay’s comment during his auditions broke him down emotionally and psychologically but he knows God got him.

He said,

“This broke me down emotionally and psychologically, but God got me”.
