DeLorean Motor Company has officially revealed its upcoming DeLorean EV, an all-new take on the classic 1980’s stainless steel-clad, gullwing doored sports car that was made famous by the Back to the Future film trilogy and first teased back in February.

Is the electric DeLorean real?
The new DeLorean will be electric, but de Vries wouldn’t discuss the supplier for the electric motors. The executive did not it to Tesla or Lucid.

The battery, which will be larger than 100kwh, will have a fast-charging rate of around 150kw, and deliver more than 300 miles of range, according to de Vries.
Who is making DeLorean EV?
For more than three-decade, DeLorean Motor Co. LLC has been run in Humble, Texas, by Stephen Wynne as a service and restoration shop for classic DeLoreans.
DeLoreans Motor Co. Inc is a new company with new management based in San Antonio that is focused on creating a new model.
