At the age of 56, Mahto passed away from complications following a lung transplant on April 6, 2023.
He finished his studies in Class 10 and made headlines in 2020 when he enrolled in Class 11 to finish his education.
Nevertheless, Mr. Mahto’s COVID-19 test came out positive right before the exam, necessitating his admission to a Chennai hospital.

He required a lung transplant and spent a significant amount of time in a coma. Only after receiving treatment for nine months straight did Mr. Mahto return to his condition. He made headlines once more in September 2020 for giving automobiles to Class 10 and Class 12 board exam winners.

Hemant Soren, the chief minister of Jharkhand, announced Mahto’s death on Twitter and referred to it as an irreparable loss.
