The fixture, held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu, saw Dreams FC secure a resounding 8-1 victory, marked by Agyenim Boateng Mensah’s remarkable five-goal haul.
However, what initially seemed like a dominant display by Dreams FC has now been overshadowed by allegations of misconduct.
It has emerged that RTU fielded unregistered players for the match after their regular squad boycotted the game due to months of unpaid salaries.

RTU’s captain, Baba Kushigu, confirmed in an interview with Angel Sports that none of the regular players made the trip for the encounter against Dreams FC.
This revelation substantiates the allegations of impersonation, casting a shadow over the integrity of the match and the league itself.
In response to these serious allegations, the Ghana Football Association has swiftly taken action.
RTU has been charged by the GFA, and an official investigation is currently underway to determine the full extent of the incident and the implications it may have for the league and its participants.
