During the event, a fan requested that DeGeneres reprise her iconic voice role as Dory from Pixar’s ‘Finding Nemo’ and ‘Finding Dory’. In response, she firmly stated, “No, I’m going bye-bye, remember.” This moment underscored her intention to retreat from the limelight entirely.

Ellen DeGeneres also took the opportunity to address the misconduct allegations that plagued her daytime talk show, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”. The show ended amid reports of a toxic work environment, including allegations of racism, sexual misconduct, and intimidation.

“[I] can be demanding and impatient and tough. I am a strong woman. I am many things, but I am not mean,” DeGeneres asserted. Reflecting on the criticisms she faced, she added, “I used to say, ‘I don’t care what people say about me.’ Now I realize I said that during the height of my popularity.”
