IK Osakioduwa, a well-known media figure, shared that despite his good income, he wouldn’t split expenses equally with his wife because he sees himself as the family provider.

During an online podcast with Toke Makinwa, who agreed with him, he expressed his views. Toke believes that traditionally, it wasn’t common for women to work and that men have always been expected to support their families financially.

IK added that a woman’s main role is to be a companion, which includes giving their husbands peace. He also mentioned that while his wife does help out financially when she sees he’s struggling, he would never ask this of her.
Ikponmwosa and his wife Olohije Osakioduwa were married in a church ceremony on 3 October 2008 in Lagos following four years of friendship and a year of dating. The couple is blessed with two children Osahar and Micah.

IK Osakioduwa started hosting the Big Brother reality series in September 2009 taking over from Kabelo Ngakane. When the series went on to phenomenal success, it put him in the continental spotlight.
