Afrobeat sensation Davido has addressed accusations of trying to take his daughter, Imade, away from her mother, Sophia Momodu, amid their ongoing joint custody battle.

The controversy ignited after Davido filed for joint custody of Imade, which prompted Sophia to submit a comprehensive 100-paragraph counter-affidavit. In her affidavit, she outlined numerous reasons why she believes their daughter should remain in her sole custody.

In the wake of this legal tussle, Davido has faced a barrage of accusations from social media users who claim that he is leveraging his influence to covertly gain full custody of Imade under the guise of seeking joint custody.

Responding to these allegations, Davido took to social media to clarify his intentions. He emphasized that his goal has always been to obtain joint custody, not to take Imade away from her mother.
