When did Lorraine Kelly start her career? Lorraine Kelly joined TV-am as Scotland Correspondent in October 1984. She covered the Pan Am Flight 103 disaster that happened in Lockerbie in July 1989.

She also presented TV-am’s Summer Sunday programme with chief reporter Geoff Meade. On 31 January 1990, she became the main presenter of Good Morning Britain alongside Mike Mirrors.

In 2005, she also hosted the annual Glenfiddich Spirit of Scotland Awards and for 2006 for STV. She has been the host of STV’s Children’s Appeal since 2011.
