Professional American football player Michael Crabtree plays for the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers. He went to David W. Carter High School and was born in Dallas, Texas in 1987. In high school, Crabtree played quarterback and was a highly sought-after recruit, earning scholarship offers from numerous colleges.

Crabtree ultimately decided to go with Texas Tech University’s Red Raiders and play for head football coach Mike Leach. Crabtree was twice named the best college wide receiver in the country during his two seasons at Texas Tech. He also won the Biletnikoff Award. Crabtree was a two-time unanimous All-American.

As the first freshman to earn the AT&T ESPN All-America Player of the Year title, he was also named the 2007 Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year and the 2007 AT&T ESPN Player of the Year.

Crabtree was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the 10th overall choice in the 2009 NFL Draft. He spent 11 seasons with the 49ers (2009–14), Oakland Raiders (2015–17), Baltimore Ravens (2018–19), and Arizona Cardinals (2019).
