Elden Ring is a popular game that uses Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) to prevent cheating in online play. However, some players may want to disable EAC for various reasons, such as improving game performance or playing the game offline. Here’s how you can start Elden Ring without EAC:

Rename the EAC File: In the Elden Ring game installation folder, you’ll find a file named start_protected_game.exe. Rename this file to something else. For example, you could rename it to start_protected_game_original.exe.

Create a Copy of the Game Executable: Next, find the elden_ring.exe file in the same folder. Make a copy of this file in the same folder.

Rename the Copied File: Rename the copied file to start_protected_game.exe.

Start the Game: Now, you can start the game through Steam as usual. When the game starts, it should display a notice that offline mode has been activated1.

Please note that by disabling EAC, you won’t be able to participate in online play. Also, this method might not work in future updates of the game if the developers change how EAC is implemented. Always remember to play responsibly and respect the game’s terms of service. Enjoy your game!
