A Culinary Dialogue:

One fascinating aspect of Matheson’s involvement was his contribution to the kitchen-centric dialogue between characters Carmy and Syd, portrayed by White and Edebiri, respectively. Rather than relying solely on scripted lines, Matheson and Coco drew inspiration from their culinary conversations. Matheson said, “When giving writers input on the kitchen-centric dialogue between Carmy and Syd, she and I would look at our culinary conversations to channel White and Edebiri on-screen.”

Bringing Accuracy and Delectability to the Screen:

Matheson’s collaboration with Coco and the rest of the creative team went beyond crafting menus and dialogue. His goal was to bring accuracy and delectability to the culinary aspects of “The Bear.” This attention to detail not only enhances the viewer’s experience but also adds an extra layer of realism to the show, immersing the audience in the world of the characters.
