While the official cause of death remains pending, Hertzberg-Pfaffinger shared in a Facebook post her belief that Gregory fell asleep in his car and succumbed to heatstroke. This tragic incident underscores the dangers of extreme heat, particularly in enclosed spaces.

Gregory gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Brian Tanner in “ALF,” a sitcom that aired for four seasons from 1986 to 1990. The show centred around the Tanner family, who befriended ALF, an Alien Life Form that crash-landed into their garage.

Gregory’s character, Brian, was one of the two Tanner children, who formed a special bond with the extraterrestrial visitor. The series also starred Max Wright and Anne Schedeen as the Tanner parents and Andrea Elson as Brian’s sister.
