Amandla Stenberg started her career in modeling at just four years old, appearing in catalogs for Disney and commercials for brands like Boeing and Kmart.

Amandla’s acting career began in 2011 when she appeared in her first feature film, Colombiana, playing a younger version of Zoe Saldana’s character. Her breakthrough came in 2012 when she was cast as Rue in The Hunger Games. This role, at the age of 14, brought her widespread recognition and praise, along with several award nominations, including a Black Reel Award.
