Hoda Kotb disclosed on air that her youngest child and three-year-old daughter, Hope, was in the intensive care unit “for a few days and in the hospital for a little more than a week” after falling ill.

Hoda Kotb revealed that Hope who was briefly hospitalized has since been discharged and is recovering at home. This was after she was being absent from the NBC morning show since mid-February.

Hoda Kotb returned to the show on March 6, 2023, after his two-week absence. Hoda Kotb is the mother of two children namely, Haley Joy Kotb and Hope Catherine Kotb.
