In the National Football League (NFL), Heath Miller played tight end for the Pittsburgh Steelers for 11 seasons from 2005 to 2015 (he was born on October 22, 1982). For the Virginia Cavaliers, where he played college football, Miller received the John Mackey Award and All-American recognition. In the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft, the Steelers selected him with the 30th overall choice.

In the first round, 30th overall, of the 2005 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected Miller. In the previous fifteen years, Pittsburgh had selected three tight ends in the first round. A five-year, $6.89 million contract with $4.54 million guaranteed and a $3.94 million signing bonus was signed by Miller and the Steelers on July 26, 2005.

Miller, 37, currently resides in Charlottesville with his wife Katie and their four children, Chase (10), Jake (9), Cole (7), and Morgan (5).

Miller played football for the University of Virginia’s Virginia Cavaliers under coach Al Groh from 2001 to 2004. Miller switched to tight end during his redshirt freshman season after being signed to play quarterback initially.
