Popular Nigerian singer, songwriter, and pianist, Mayorkun, has been awarded at the ongoing 14th Headies Awards at the La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort in Ibeju-Lekki – Nigeria.

Born Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, Mayorkun was awarded the best street pop artiste with his song entiled geng. The geng track is a solidarity pop which calls for squad celebration. Mayorkun’s Geng is one of the song of the artiste with a blazing anthemic single.

The award-winning artiste has begun the career with an incredible work backed by the popular singer, Davido. David has also won the Best Music Video with ”One Milli” produced by Director K.
The Headies 2020 is the 14th edition of The Headies. It is Nigerian music awards show held to recognise outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry. The nominees were announced on 4th December 2020 with Fireboy DML leading with nine nominations. Davido and Wurld followed with seven nominations each, while Burna Boy the reigning Artiste of the Year secured six nominations.
