Hansi Flick Stops Barcelona From Signing N’Golo Kante

FC Barcelona have found themselves struggling this summer transfer season due to their financial situation and some other factors.

One position which the Catalns hope to augment is their midfield position as they lack a natural defensive midfielder after allowing Oriol Romeu leave to Girona on loan.

One notable target for Barcelona was French defensive midfielder N’Golo Kante. The 33-year-old, currently with Al-Ittihad and formerly a key player for Chelsea, was seen as a low-cost option for Barcelona.

Despite the initial interest, recent developments suggest that the club itself has stalled this move.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the decision to block Kante’s transfer lies with Barcelona’s coach, Hansi Flick.

Hansi Flick believes that, despite Kante’s undeniable quality, it’s more beneficial to rely on the club’s emerging talents, such as Marc Casado and Marc Bernal, who have impressed recently.

Kante hopes to return to European football after just one year in the Saudi Arabian league.
